What can you expect in therapy? In many ways, therapy is just a conversation between two (or more) people. It’s a comfortable and safe place for you to come as you are. While I offer guidance and interventions to enhance the therapeutic value of our work, you remain in charge as we work collaboratively. In addition, therapy is unique in that the entire focus of our time is on you, your needs, and your goals. Unlike conversations with friends and family, which can be helpful, but may not be solely focused on your needs, therapy is truly a setting where you can explore your experiences, feelings, or whatever else may be on your mind without worrying about how it might impact others, and without any fear of judgement.

How long will I be in therapy?Since therapy is individualized for each person, the length of time can vary from person to person. I encourage open discussion throughout the process regarding both of our perspectives on your progress and preferences moving forward.
